What is Armstarter.com?
It is a free online platform for creating, discussing and supporting projects related to the Armenian world. Armstarter gives everyone the opportunity to submit their ideas and attract the necessary resources of the Internet community for its implementation: knowledge, skills, finance and so on. Such cooperation of users for stating and solving different kinds of tasks is called crowdsourcing.
NB: Armstarter.com is just an online platform for presentations projects that are created by the site users and doesn't provide financial support for creators of the projects.

What is crowdsourcing?
It is the use of the resources of the collective Internet mind for solving certain problems and tasks. Crowdsourcing is often used as a tool to improve the quality of products/services by commercial and government companies that appeal to the “crowd” on a variety of issues. What is “School of crowdfunding” and other sections related to crowdfunding for?
Originally the site was developed as a crowdfunding portal, so some of the sections have functionality and content typical for such platforms. For example, in the project editor there is a tab on the design of perks for backers, and detailed step-by-step guide "School of crowdfunding" is accessible in Armenian for the newcomers to create and promote a crowd-campaign. The new strategy of Armstarter steps aside from the model of a crowdfunding platform, but the content in view of its relevance is still posted on the site.
-
What is rewards-based crowdfunding?
The rewards-based crowdfunding allows both using the resources of a large number of people and skipping the intermediate links between a creator and customers. A writer publishes a book at the expense of the readers who receive it as the author's reward for their support without any charges by publishers or bookshops. And that works for almost any other idea. Crowdfunding refers to the subtypes of crowdsourcing.
-
What projects are suitable for Armstarter?
Any, if they don’t contradict the rules of the platform. It is important to state not only the main idea of the project, but also the purpose of its publication: to find out people's opinions about your future product, gather a team for a startup, find investors, promote public initiative, etc. Armstarter is perfect for solving corporate problems. For example, an organization can launch a competition project for a new logo design or service or just ask about the quality of its services.
